A stunning 8 minutes and 23 seconds to cover the 20.8 km (12.9 mi) of the Nurburgring made the new Clio RS the fastest city car on the circuit.
Presented to the world in March at the Geneva Motor Show, this version of the Clio offers 20hp more than its previous version allowing it to burst its previous time by almost 36 seconds.
This record lap was made by German test pilot Christian Gebhart for the magazine Sport Auto.
In the end, many cars have been sent back to subsidiary positions including the Mini John Cooper Works in 8'35", the Vauxhall Corsa OPC in 8'40" and the Audi S1 in 8'41"
This record means an average speed of 92.32 mph. Quite fast!Back to all News
